1 (12 ounce) package frozen dinner roll dough
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup butter
2/3 cup white sugar
1 egg, beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon orange extract
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
Place dinner roll dough onto an ungreased cookie sheet.
In the microwave or in the microwave oven, cool dinner roll dough slightly. Stir in milk and butter. Spread mixture onto the prepared cookie sheet. Chill overnight.
In the microwave or in the oven, melt white sugar and egg. Stir together sugar and egg; stir mixture into the margarine and melted sugar. Spread over dinner roll dough. Chill overnight.
While the dough is chilling, preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Punch down dough and cut into squares. Place squares on ungreased cookie sheets. Cool slightly on the baking sheets.
Darken a second sheet of parchment paper. Mix together the orange and vanilla extract and spread over the crusts of the apple. Brush apples with orange syrup (optional). Remove the cinnamon and sugar syrup from the brown sugar and cinnamon syrup mixture. Spread over the crusts, making sure that they are touching.
Drizzle the orange syrup over the fruit. Place next sheet of parchment paper over the edge of the pie to prevent leaking. Wrap the edges of the first sheet of parchment over the top to keep them from getting stuck. Place a separate sheet of parchment over the edges of the pie to keep the lines from getting stuck at the bottom.
Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven, until golden brown. Drain on paper towels and serve immediately.
