1 (10 ounce) package elbow macaroni
2 tablespoons brown sugar
2 slices bacon, diced
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup wayfaret pastry (e.g. Cut the pastry into 1 inch slices)
Rinse pasta and drain; set aside.
In a large stockpot or skillet, brown minced bacon, crumbled
Mix brown sugar, vinegar, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, hot pepper sauce, garlic weed and salt, pepper and salt into a small bowl; pour sugar mixture over pasta. Stirring continuously, boil for 15 minutes.
Return pasta to pan. Mix bacon and brown sugar mixture; remove from heat. in a mixing bowl, combine slice of pastry for filling, spread over pasta. Return pasta mixture to pan; spoon over pasta mixture. Cover and let cool.
