Teacake Rolls Recipe

Ingredients

2 1/2 cups milk

1/2 cup water

1/4 cup unsalted butter

1/2 cup dry milk powder

2 teaspoons lemon juice

1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk

1 egg, beaten

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease a 1/2 quart jelly roll pan or 9 inch square pan with nonstick spray.

In a large saucepan, combine milk, water, butter, lemon juice and sweetened condensed milk. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Cool and form into 1 inch balls. Place softballs on jelly roll pans.

Bake in preheated oven for 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean. Cool completely.

To make the frosting: In a large saucepan, beat together lemon juice, egg and vanilla until smooth. Gradually beat in lemon mixture. Spread over cupcakes while still warm.
