3 pounds meat
1 1/2 cups water
3 tablespoons olive oil
5 cloves garlic, minced
1 1/2 pounds Italian sausage, diced
2/3 cup minced onion
2 pounds spaghetti sauce
1 cup tomato sauce
1 (10 ounce) can crushed pineapple with juice
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
In a medium saucepan bring water to a boil. Stir in the olive oil, and reduce heat, stirring constantly, until blend is a nice thick brown.
Place meat in a nonstick skillet. Cook over medium heat until evenly browned, about 20 minutes.
Dredge the meat in the dry cooking liquid. Place the meat in a bowl and sprinkle with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Add sauce and tomato sauce; toss.
Cover and refrigerate overnight, leaving meat in mixture in the skillet.
In the morning, preheat oven to 450 degrees F (220 degrees C).
Remove meat mixture from refrigerator, blot dry and place meat mixture on a baking sheet. Bake uncovered for at least 10 minutes to allow it to steam.
Remove meat from skillet and let cool completely before slicing. Plice mixture into 4 portions and place on a medium baking sheet. Allow to cool before serving.
