1 cup milk
1/2 cup butter
1/4 cup white sugar
1 pinch salt
1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1 red onion, thinly sliced
In a medium saucepan, combine milk, butter and brown sugar. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Continue boiling for 2 minutes, stirring constantly. Reduce heat to low and stir in flour, baking powder, baking soda and chocolate chips. Stirring constantly, bring to a boil, stirring constantly, until mixture is thick.
Remove from heat and stir in flour mixture. Pour into 10 molds. Chill overnight.
To serve, top each orange with a thin strip of ginger-garlic, and place inside an orange syrup vessel. pour orange hot water into the vessel and gently shake to combine in with the cinnamon syrup. Chill in refrigerator.
