3/4 cup boiling water
1 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup nonfat milk honey
1 teaspoon prepared instant coffee powder
1 teaspoon saltine
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon dried basil
1/4 teaspoon dried marjoram
1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
1 (15 ounce) can whole black beans, rinsed
1 cup pecan or chutney
1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
In a saucepan over medium heat, mix boiling water, salt, milk honey, coffee and saltine. Stirring constantly, cook and stir until mixture coats the back of a metal spoon. When the mixture boils, stir in garlic powder, basil, marjoram, thyme, pecan, marjoram and whole black beans. Cover and let simmer until nearly boiling, about 30 minutes. At this point, stir sauce into milk and return to a low heat.
When the mixture begins to thicken, remove from heat and stir in pecanned bean, nut mix, nutmeg and pan sauce. Serve hot.
