1/2 cup butter, melted
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
8 slices bread, torn into small pieces
1/8 teaspoon onion powder
2 slices bacon, cut into 1 inch pieces
1 small onion, thinly sliced
2 cups water
3 cups milk
Place melted butter and flour in a large bowl. Mix in salt and pepper to coat. Cover, and refrigerate at least 2 hours.
In a medium bowl, mix together the bread, onion, bacon, onion and water. Mix together and refrigerate at least 15 minutes.
Starting with a layer of bread, slice bread pieces vertically along the edges into 1/4 inch slices. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
Place bread cubes in a large resealable plastic bag; pour water over bread cubes and seal bag. Cover bag and refrigerate overnight.
Remove bread cubes; drain and discard liquid. Spread 2/3 cup of the bread cubes into a large resealable plastic bag. Place on hot coals. Brush remaining bread cubes with water. Shape into 2 tortillas or sandwiches.
Pour remaining liquid into resealable plastic bag; chill until serving time.
