1/2 cup milk
3 tablespoons margarine, melted
3 tablespoons brown sugar
10 sugar packets
Mix margarine and brown sugar in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook 10 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Stir in pecans. Pour into baking dish and sprinkle with wet meringue.
Bake for an hour in the preheated oven, stirring occasionally. Cool slightly. Spread either over warm pie or over warm cake while remaining cool. Cover gently and let stand until firm. Serve hot or cold.
