AWESOME! This is very close to how I would make any type of bread. I would use the yeast to make the dough rise, then handle the hot oil and butter during the rise. I would also use a good quality flour like King Arthur Flour. I use a blend of 9 lumps of solid solid lye (whole milk) with a boost of 2 tablespoons of honey. The batter is perfect in every way. I cut my hot dogs in 1/2 and used a metal skewer to dip them into the hot oil and then into the wet batter. I then turn my hot dogs upside down and fry them until crisp in about 1tablespoon of butter. I keep my bun in the oven at this point and just throw some cornmeal batter on when I want to make french toast. It's so easy & such
