1 (12 ounce) package homemade household yeast
2 1/2 cups warm water (110 degrees F/45 degrees C)
1/3 cup salt
1 cup white sugar
2 eggs
1 cup shredded rolled oats
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup white sugar
1/4 cup milk
4 tablespoons Dijon mustard
1/4 cup dried safflower seeds, crushed
1/2 cup quick and easy bread crumbs
Place yeast in warm water; stir in salt, white sugar, and 2 eggs. Position the dough in a greased springform pan. Stir in 1 cup of milk; beat until smooth. Add salt, 1/2 cup liquid, and yeast mixture.
Pour into pan and sprinkle bread crumbs on toast.
Added liquid strategy: Turn a 1/2 cup of liquid into 1/2 cup of milk; add crumbs. Kahlua style! Allow the liquid to soak in the butter, stirring frequently. Stir in crumbs until all the liquid is absorbed, 7 minutes. Add egg whites and milk; mix well.
