Hot Kielbasa Recipe

Ingredients

1 (16 ounce) can tomato sauce

8 ounces kielbasa sausage

1 pound lean ground beef

1 onion, cut into 1/2 inch slices

2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

1 tablespoon pepper

Directions

In a small bowl, mix tomato sauce, kielbasa sausage, ground beef, onion and Worcestershire sauce. Mix together in a medium bowl. Transfer mixture to an 8x8 inch baking dish.

Bake meat on medium heat for about 6 minutes, or until browned and crumbled. Drain excess grease from skillet and drain grease. Trim meat so that it is about 1/8 inch inch thick.

In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the mushrooms, onions and celery 5 seconds on each side, stirring occasionally. Dredge meat in sauce mixture, then pour over meat. Sprinkle with pepper.

Cover skinned meat and roll meat into 1/2 inch thick slices. Dip meat slices in tomato sauce mixture and place on each slice of meat. Do not rub meat with pan juices.

Heat oil in a large skillet over high heat. Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add meat strips and cook for 2 minutes on each side, or until brown. Drain meat strips and place on plates. Drizzle with tomato sauce mixture.

Cover pan and simmer uncovered over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until liquid is reduced, about 10 minutes.
