Winter White, Dry Rub Recipe

Ingredients

1 pint unsalted butter, softened

8 ounces cream cheese, softened

1 1/2 pounds white bread cubes

1 medium onion, sliced into strips

2 cloves garlic, peeled and chopped

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Directions

Butter a 12-quart casserole dish.

Place cream cheese in a mold, and cover with water. Let stand until creamy; remove large pieces.

In the pan of a food processor, press cream cheese's points into mixture. Stir occasionally until very smooth. Pour into prepared dish. Sprinkle bread cubes in paper or foil, and sprinkle onions in paper, and garlic in foil, and cinnamon.

Bake 45 minutes. Reduce temperature to low, and bake until golden brown, 10 minutes. Cool completely before slicing.

Wonderful! It looked & felt like dinner! Even my husband raved about it. He said it was his favorite chowder he had ever had. Mine was a little clumpy, but he said it still was very good. He will make this again.
