Chip Encrusted French Baked Appetizer Recipe

Ingredients

1 (8 ounce) package croissant mix

1 (3 ounce) package cinnamon flavored instant vanilla pudding mix

2 (10 ounce) cans pumpkin

1 (14 ounce) can peeled and grated tomatoes

1/2 cup butter, melted

1/4 cup white sugar

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 cup water, divided

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

Combine ingredients in a 9x13 inch baking dish. Sprinkle top of dish with butter, shake off air, and bake in preheated oven for 40 minutes a side, or until golden brown.

In 15-inch skillet, saute remaining 1/3 cup sugar and salt until sugar is dissolved. Stir in water and cook 5 to 8 minutes more, until sauce is thickened and creamy. Serve warm with hotcakes.
