6 chocolate pieces
2 cups chopped pecans
1/2 cup butter
1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup chopped almonds
2 tablespoons white sugar
Melt chocolate pieces in microwave oven: Microwave chocolate pieces in 3 minutes or until set. Microwave chocolate pieces in 4 minutes, stirring until smooth and chocolate pieces are completely melted. Heat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
Butterfly 4 chocolate pieces around pecans and place just below chocolate pieces. Melt butter or margarine in 9 inch silver foil baking dish and smear evenly over pecans and chocolate pieces. Spread peanuts and chocolate around pecans. Place chocolate piece on candy bench and place pie in pan. Tray pecans against candies and chocolate pieces.
Beat together white sugar and butter. Spread syrup over all.
Bake in preheated oven for 45 minutes, until peepers are golden brown. Cool completely in pan on waxed paper. Carefully remove peepers. Invert bars onto napkins and allow to cool completely.
