2 1/2 cups flaked coconut
1 cup ground almonds
1/2 cup butter
3/4 cup chocolate syrup
1 cup white sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 cup water
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease cookie sheets.
In a large bowl, cream together the white sugar, melted butter and chocolate syrup until smooth. Stir in the flour, baking powder, baking soda and water. Drop by rounded spoonfuls onto the prepared cookie sheets.
Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven, or until edges are slightly dusty. Cool on baking sheet, then remove to cool completely on wire rack.
