Fruity Carrot Cake Recipe

Ingredients

1 cup flax seeds

1/3 cup marsh flax seeds

1 1/4 cup white sugar

1 1/2 cups unsalted butter

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 cup flax seed

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour a 9x13 inch pan. Sift together the flour, baking soda and 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon. Set aside.

In a large bowl, stir together the milk, cream and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract.

In a large bowl, cream with softened hands $ 1 1/3 cup butter, then gradually beat in powdered sugar. Add the cornstarch and vanilla and beat until smooth. Add the flour mixture alternately with the milk mixture, beating well after each addition. Pour batter into prepared pan.

Bake in the preheated oven for 60 to 70 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Cool in pan for half the oven time and then turn to remove last 10 minutes of pans from the oven. Let cool completely before frosting.
