4 ounces shredded mozzarella cheese
4 tablespoons all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons dried Italian-style seasoning
1 tablespoon salt
1 tablespoon dried minced onion
1 pound Italian sausage, cut into ¼ inch pieces
2 cups shredded Swiss cheese
2 eggs
Preheat oven broiler.
Place cheese in microwave-safe medium bowl.
Heat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Drain excess grease in pan. Place mozzarella cheese on bottom of 6 glass or plastic bowl. Microwave on high (high) power for 2 minutes or until cheese is melted and well blended.
Melt sausage in large skillet, stirring frequently; drain well. Stir sausage into cheese mixture; drizzle with remaining seasoning, salt and onion.
Dip each piece of cheese into meat mixture; pat into filling. Place cheese on baking sheet. Place meat in oven broiler pan. Broil 6 to 8 inches from heat source for 10 minutes to 1 minute.
Rub mozzarella cheese through cheese crust, covering entirely; place in microwave oven. Remove cheese from oven (use knife or metal whisk) and place on broiler pan. Broil 2 minutes, stirring occasionally. Broil cheese 2 minutes more. Place stirring pan on broiler rack.
Place sausage and cheese mixture on top of remaining mozzarella cheese. Broil 4 minutes more.
Use two forks, or spoon, to spoon bread onto cream mixture. Grill 5 to 8 minutes, until cooked through.
