California Sausage and Bread Recipe

Ingredients

1 1/2 pounds crispy bacon, cut into 1/6 inch strips

1 teaspoon paprika

2/3 cup white wine

3 tablespoons butter, softened

2 tablespoons soy sauce

1 teaspoon garlic powder

2 cups bread flour

1 teaspoon baking powder

Directions

Place bacon in large, deep skillet. Cook over medium heat until evenly brown. Drain, crumble, and set aside.

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Coat bottom of a 9x13 inch baking pan with cooking spray. Stick garlic salt onto  3 bread flour papers, using about 1/3 of each for bottom and 1/3 for sides.

In a large bowl, whip together the butter, paprika, white wine and garlic powder until light and fluffy. Beat in the sugar, salt and paprika mixture that have been used. Pour batter into prepared pan.

Bake in preheated oven for 50 minutes, or until bubbly with juices.

Meanwhile in a small bowl, mix the flour, baking powder and salt. Stir in skillet to the wet batter just until it begins to come to a rolling boil. Reduce heat to low and spread out onto both sides of pan.
