1 pound pork sausage
2 white onions, cut into 1-inch pieces
1 cup hot water
1 celery leaf, torn away LAND O LAKES® Roasted And Discardable Flowering
2 freshly grated carrots
1 tablespoon yogurt
4 roma (plum) tomatoes, peeled and narrowed (optional)
2 roma (plum) onions, cut into large pieces
4 cloves garlic, peeled and minced
3 tablespoons tomato paste
1 teaspoon baking powder
Broil sausage in large skillet lightly oil. Add water and onion; boil off excess liquid. Stir in hot water, celery, 1 cup carrot, yogurt, tomatoes, corn plants, and cloves garlic. Cook for 2 or 3 minutes or until vegetables are tender.
Stir cooked sausage mixture into hot skillet slowly. Cook over low heat for 1 minute or until cooked through. Remove from skillet; set aside.
In a small saucepan, combine tomato paste, baking powder and baking soda. Bring to a boil; cover, reduce heat, and simmer for 2 minutes or until gravy thickens. Serve at serving heat.
Excellent recipe and all was well. No bubbles, just right amount of sweetness, and a nice way to use the raw materials. I used sea salt, I don't know if it would have made a difference, but it definitely would have been nice if the batter was a bit thicker (my personal taste) and made a little less air when I squeezed it out.
Awesome dough ball. Couldn't wait to try them. Will definitely be doing them again!
