1 (1 ounce) square unsalted butter
3 tablespoons bourbon
3 tablespoons brown sugar
1 cup milk
2 eggs
4 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon dried clover
1 cup chopped blackberries
1 cup sliced almonds
1 cup chopped walnuts
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
In a large bowl, cream together the butter and bourbon until smooth. Stir together the brown sugar, milk, eggs and flour. Beat in the salt, baking powder, clover and blackberries. Beat in the flour mixture until just blended. Stir the vinegar into the creamed mixture. Mix in the chopped blackberries and almonds. Drop by heaping tablespoons onto the baking sheet.
Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 60 minutes. For an even coating, cool in the refrigerator for 30 minutes and slightly thaw.
While the pie is baking, prepare a dessert by melting the butter and sugar. Spread the mixture onto the unbaked pie crust. Brush whipped cream over the filling and sprinkle with sliced almonds and walnuts.
