2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup milk
2 teaspoons white sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 cup chopped bananas
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
1/2 cup buttermilk
1/2 cup butter
1/4 cup white sugar
1 egg
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 tablespoons milk
1/3 cup confectioners' sugar for decoration
In a medium bowl, stir together flour, salt, milk, and 2 teaspoons sugar. Make a well in the center and pour in the eggs, buttermilk, butter, and 1/4 cup sugar. Beat until smooth. Stir in bananas and nuts.
Spread batter evenly into prepared pan. Reduce temperature to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C), and bake in the preheated oven for 60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean. Let cool for 10 minutes before frosting.
