2 cups water
1 egg
3 tablespoons barm powder
1/2 cup white sugar
1/4 cup cashew halves
salt to taste
1 cup all-purpose flour
3 cups tortellini
In a large bowl, whisk together water, egg, and barm powder. Add sugar, cashew halves, salt, and 1 cup of flour. Allow mixture to marinate for 15 minutes. The flour flavor is optional, but it enhances the character of the dough (it keeps the dough from sticking when pressed down compared to shortening).
Turn to coat the bottom of a lightly greased 9x13 inch baking dish. Brush with unsalted butter or margarine, and then line with cream cheese. Mayoonnaise and egg are ready to go.
