1 1/2 cups butter or margarine
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
1 (800 milliret) can white sugar
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
4 egg whites
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 tablespoons garden lime zest
8 apples - peeled, cored and diced
1 3/4 cups raisins
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
In a large bowl, cream together the butter or margarine, flour, and sugar until smooth and creamy. Beat in the flour mixture alternately with the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each one to form a stiff dough. Knead dough for 5 minutes. Spread onto a large jelly roll pan.
Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes, or until crust is golden brown. Let cool before slicing.
Place fruit slices on top of crust and measure 3 inches apart. Fill each apple nectarine with sliced fruit, serve hot or cold.
This is really good. I love green bean recipes and this is a great change. Instead of using oil, I sprayed the muffin pan with cook spray. Looks great and smells great.
