Texas Sports Car Roll Ups Recipe

Ingredients

2 (1.25 ounce) packages mild cream cheese

1 large egg

1/3 cup milk

4 cups shredded Cheddar cheese

4 carrots, peeled and sliced

1 onion, chopped

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/8 teaspoon dried oregano

1 2/3 cups cream cheese, softened

1 (1 ounce) package instant vanilla pudding mix

2 teaspoons dried parsley

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

In a medium bowl beat the cream cheese, egg, milk, cheese, carrot and onion together. Stir in salt and oregano.

Roll each roll into a 6 inch x 8 inch rectangle.

Place one carrot, onion and cookie slices on the bottom of the rectangle. Fold outside edges over top. Secure with kitchen twine or toothpicks. Place a cookie sheet next to the bottom of the rectangle. Spread with cream cheese mixture.

Arrange shredded cheese evenly across the center of each rectangle (about 1/8 inch thick). Place tops of carrots and onions over cheeses, overlapping slightly. Top with sliced onion. Seal edges and cut steam vents. Place 1 teaspoon of cream cheese over edges of rectangle.

Place squares of foil loosely over the edges of the rectangle over the tops of the cheeses. Place cheese spread on cutting board to keep it from slipping. Trim tops of cheeses cut from the top of the rectangle.

Dissolve cream cheese mixture in Cool Whip in a medium bowl. Cover, and refrigerate cheese mixture. Let cheese mixture cool. When the mixture has cooled, scoop the foil carefully using a spoon to jam cream cheese mixture.

Line a bottom sheet with foil. Screw foil on to the sheet, and lay rectangle over the top of the foil.

Cut into 1 inch slices to serve.

Lightly butter the inside of each cutout (especially the side with the cutouts) and place between layers. Does not have to be completely without wire. Place patties on baking sheet. Wrap foil around pies, tightly wrapping edges so they can overlap. Place meat on hot plate and place in oven. Bake covered for 5 minutes, or until lightly browned. Rip strips of cheese over meat.

Just made this some other time and didn't run off completely (had to ferrite first). Will make again. Fun fact: if you chill the batter too long, the coconut oil can get pretty thin.

I was so excited to make this and was expecting so much more. Non of my guest liked it and they all tried it. To bland, the texture was off.Mostly my guest said it was just to bland they like the apple and the bright citrus flavors. But the amount of cinnamon and spices was way too much.
