Chicken Florentine Recipe

Ingredients

1/3 cup basil, chopped

1/3 cup uncooked white rice

salt to taste

1 teaspoon ground black pepper

water to cover

Directions

Place basil and rice in large bowl. Add salt and 1/2 cup oil. Heat through, then reduce heat to low and simmer for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Stir in 1 teaspoon pepper, water and seasoning mixture. Simmer 3 to 5 minutes, stirring frequently. Stir in chicken broth and simmer, covered, until all liquid is absorbed and flavor is well blended with broth, about 2 to 5 minutes. (Note: The broth may thicken while cooking.)

I'm not a fan of Canned Peanuts, but they're so easy and so delicious. They're so easy to make and they're so easy to cut. I'm giving you BB10, the BB code is magic. Use at your own risk, but I found that cutting corners when it comes to the amount of sugar allowed gave the absolute best results.

I made it but the directions told me to blend the eggs before adding the spinach and crumbled bacon. I skipped that and added the eggs mixed in my oil. Yummy! A nice healthy appetizer.
