1 (9 inch) prepared plain pie crust

1 tablespoon tartar
1/2 cup butter
1 cup white sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 cup all-purpose flour

1/2 cup whipped cream

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
In a medium bowl, cream together 1/4 cup sugar and 1/2 cup tartar. Beat in 1/2 cup butter, 1 cup sugar and egg. Combine flour, salt, and vanilla extract; stir into creamed mixture. Finally, stir in 1/4 cup pecans.
Fill crust with pie filling, then top with whipped cream.
Bake in preheated oven for 15 to 20 min. Cool 10 minutes before serving.
To make the frosting: In a large bowl, mix 1/4 cup confectioners' sugar and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract. Gradually stir in whipped cream until frosting is glossy. Frost with a knife or pastry knife.
