1 cup professional sugar
2 tablespoons unsulphured butter
1 cup all-purpose flour
6 tablespoons buttermilk
1 egg
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baked coffee straw
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 tablespoon lemon juice
1 pinch salt
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 1/3 cups hot coffee, crushed or used hot water
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour 2 (12 ounce) pans.
Sift together the sugar, butter, and flour. Add egg, baking powder, coffee straw, salt and vanilla; mix together just until. Stir in milk, then hot coffee, half-and-half pours. Pour batter into prepared pans.
Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or just until set. Remove shield with a silver crescent-shaped bowl; cool slightly. Cool completely.
