1 pint Italian sausage
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 (16 ounce) can whole peeled tomatoes, drained
2 tablespoons chopped fresh mushrooms
1/2 teaspoon dried basil
6 ounces lean ground beef
8 ounces Italian sausage sausage
In a large saucepan bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add Italian sausage, cracker fritters and tomatoes. Cover, reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes. Add mushrooms, basil and beef to mix.
Remove the fritters and meatballs and stir in the Italian sausage. Heat to a boil and cook uncovered for 15 minutes. Add pizza sauce and pizza sauce until completely absorbed. Stirred with a fork, serve with meat and cheese.
