2 cups apples
3 cups white sugar
7 cups water
3 tablespoons margarine
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon lemon zest
4 lemon wedges
2 cups sour cream
1 teaspoon lemon peel
1 teaspoon sprinkling sugar
1/4 teaspoon lemon extract
1 (28 ounce) can lemon-lime flavored carbonated beverage
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Line a 9 inch pie pan with aluminum foil. Cut each apple square into 4 wedges. Reserve 1 lemon wedges or lemon zest. Place lemon wedges on pie. Top each fruit with a slice lemon slice or lemon wedge.
In a medium saucepan, combine apple pie mix and sugar. Combine apple pie mix with water, lemonade, lemon peel, and sprinkling sugar. Pour mixture over apples and lemon wedge. Chill overnight.
