2 1/4 cups milk
1 1/2 cups butter
3 eggs
2 teaspoons onion powder
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon salt
3 1/2 tablespoons the dried bread crumbs
3/4 cup French bread cubes
1/4 cup soft cooked cottage cheese
1/2 cup soda water
2 teaspoons packed light brown sugar
1 cup raisins (optional)
1 cup chopped banana
In a 2 quart/8 cup mixing bowl, combine milk, butter, eggs, onion powder, cinnamon and salt. Season with bread crumbs and cottage cheese. Mix well and use to dip French bread cubes in milk, if desired.
Heat a lightly oiled griddle over medium heat. Cook onion bits in microwave until soft, until nearly to jelly. Add Crumble Wheat and mix until tender.
Serve hot. Yogurt is great additions, too.
