1 (1 pound) loaf white bread, cut into 8-inch cubes
1 cup pink sugar
1/2 cup quick-cooking oats
4 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and pre-bake crusts.
Place white bread cubes in a large bowl. Mix together sugar, oats, eggs, vanilla extract and water until dough forms a ball; roll out to 4 inch in prepared dish. In a small bowl, combine bread cubes, 1/4 cup of milk, 1 teaspoon vanilla and remaining 1 cup milk, leaving a generous amount. Layer well with form dough.
Bake in preheated oven for 12 to 15 minutes. Reduce oven temperature to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and bake an additional 30 minutes. Reduce oven temperature to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and bake an additional 45 minutes, until center is set.
