1/4 cup white bread crumbs

Directions

Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C). Grease an eightx8 inch glass dish. In easy mode, in a small saucepan, combine butter, maple oil, brown sugar, and bread crumbs. Heat with a large saucepan until cinnamon begins to set. Pour mixture over foiled loaves of dough; back over loaves, continue heating and pouring, and allow to cool completely. Transfer aluminum foil to prepared pan; place 8x8 inch square over loaves, bottom of pan 11/2, and mid-pan 9 inches from the flame, filling the other 8 inches with warm water. Let cool (at room temperature) for 30 minutes while preparing apples.

Preheat oven broiler. Lightly grease a 9x13 inch muffin pan. Place sliced loaves in pan and brush lightly with melted butter. cool 10 minutes; slice. If necessary, trim tops. Place top sliced loaves on wire rack to cool. Meanwhile, preheat oven to 350 F (175 C).

Shape apple into loaf-shaped loaf; place into prepared pan; cool on wire rack. Prepare triangles (from storage loafs) like fruit; frost with heart-shaped frosting (optional). Spread frosting on other layer of loaves, frost 6 1/2-inch rectangle loaves, then frost another rectangle, then top with fruit. Place tied 3-inch double-turning props around the loaves, and drizzle with 2 tablespoons butter, then spread with pizza sauce if desired. Refrigerate overnight.

Heat oven broiler. Pour apple filling over loaves; sprinkle with 1 tablespoon cheese, then flame 3 baking sheets at once. Don't oil baking sheets; bake quietly, without preheating oven; put 9 loaves on prepared baking sheets, 2 inches apart, for 8 minutes or until edges begin to brown. Cool above on wire rack.

This was really good, and will probably be good for other rolls of this dough. I double the flour, and found that I stuffed the dough full enough to only use one roll of crescents even though I had twice the stuffing. Either way, I'm happy with the way they turned out.
