1 (1.5 fluid ounce) jigger vodka
1 cup orange juice
1 (16 ounce) can mandarin oranges, with juice
64 maraschino cherries - peeled, pitted and cut into pieces
1/2 cup apricot preserves
1/2 cup honey, or to taste
Melt vodka and orange juice in a large mixer bowl. Beat well. Stir in oranges, and your choice of additions. Gradually stir in cherries and apricot preserves, while continuing to stir until ingredients are completely combined.
Heat oven broiler. Using a wooden pick, carefully drop maraschino cherries onto the bottom of a slow cooker. Continue cooking in the same slow cooker, and eventually stir in honey and vanilla. Pour over cherries, and serve.
