1 pound fresh, ground beef
1 (8 ounce) can pork and egg noodles
1 small onion, finely chopped
2 teaspoons butter
1/2 teaspoon salt
Rinse water and add onion soup to water. Capri-style salad dressing is optional.
In a large bowl, combine cooked beef, pork and egg noodles.
Combine onions and butter or margarine in a saucepan; lower heat and simmer, stirring occasionally, until noodles are tender but still firm.
Meanwhile, bring a large pot of water to a boil, add tomatoes with liquid; reduce heat to medium-low and simmer, stirring occasionally, until tender, about 1 hour.
