2 pounds fresh apples - peeled, cored and sliced
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup water
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/2 cup rolled oats
3 cups milk
1/4 cup white sugar
3 tablespoons cornstarch
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Lightly grease a cookie sheet.
In a large bowl, combine apples, brown sugar, water, cream cheese, salt, nutmeg, oats and milk. Beat until smooth. Stir in 4 cups of cornstarch. Stir in 8 cups milk, 1/4 cup sugar and cornstarch until mixture resembles pudding. Pour mixture into prepared pan; cover baking sheet.
Bake in preheated oven for 20 minutes. Meanwhile, mix together cereal and pudding mix.
