1 (1 pound) round bacon
8(10 inch) round baking dish
2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 teaspoon seasoning salt
1/2 teaspoon parboiled egg
1/4 cup milk
1/2 cup olive oil
2 small red onions, sliced
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
Place sealed pork sausage in a medium bowl. Stir together with brown sugar, salt, ground black pepper and seasoning salt. Cover and marinate in the refrigerator at room temperature for one day.
In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the pork sausage and 3 tablespoons milk until brown. Stir in the remaining 1 tablespoon milk, 3 tablespoons olive oil and remaining 1/2 cup of marinade. Season with salt and pepper. Spoon a layer of the marinated pork mixture into the bottom of the baking dish. Place onions on top and pour marinade over the pork.
Layer the strained juices over the top, then the remaining 2 tablespoons milk. Season to taste. Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes, or until juices run clear.
