Mock Sourdough Loaf Recipe

Ingredients

1 (2 pound) loaf French bread

1 cup sourdough starter mix

1 cup milk

3 cups bread cubes

1 cup xanthan gum

1 cup dried bread crumbs

1/4 cup butter, melted

Directions

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Lightly grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan.

In a medium bowl, stir together the bread cubes, milk, bread cubes, xanthan gum and 1 cup of dried bread crumbs. Stir together the back-to-basil mixture, then the melted butter. Pour into the prepared pan.

Bake in preheated oven for 45 minutes, until lightly browned.

really good with fruits!ijust changed it a little by putting it in a larger loaf pan (like a 9x13) and then baking it in a toaster oven for about 15 mins. it came out fantastic with the raisins and all the spices.
