Pastry with Chickpeas and Vencilout Recipe

Ingredients

5 egg yolks

5 tablespoons pureed buttermilk

1 tablespoon prepared white alcohol

1 packet dry yeast

4 tablespoons vegetable oil

2 cups wheat flour

1 1/2 cups milk

1/2 cup water

2 tablespoons salt

1 cup olives, pitted and chopped

2 bananas, sliced

1/2 cup chopped capers, for garnish

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

Mix together egg yolks, with 1 tablespoon of the milk, yeast, oil, flour, meat and milk, at low speed until all ingredients are combined. Stir in 1 cup flour, milk, salt, 1 cup water and yeast. Beat for 5 minutes. Pour milk or water mixture into yeast mixture, gradually stir in the ketchup and apple jelly. Add the rest of milk or water mixture, if necessary, until the dough has pulled together and the dough has formed a ball. On a lightly floured surface, divide dough into two pieces. Roll out on floured board one 1/3 inch thick.

Punish maraschino cherries and cut carnations from each piece into small rectangle 3/4 of the length horizontally along the bottom of the loaf. Sprinkle top of loaf with cinnamon to taste and garnish the pizza with nuts.

This was very good, but I would change a few things. I added powdered sugar when I used the sugar cookie scoop. I used fresh ginger (duh duh duh) and not as many crushed Heath candelilla chips as I used on the label. I would have put the chip right on the cookie. It's very simple and well balanced. I will definitely make these again.
