1 cup white sugar
1/2 cup dry milk
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
1 cup apples - peeled, cored, and diced
1/2 cup white sugar for decoration
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Line baking sheets with foil.
In a medium saucepan combine butter, 1 cup sugar, and milk. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until mixture thickens and forms a hard cookie. Transfer to prepared baking sheets. Cool completely on wire racks.
In a small bowl, beat together vanilla, chocolate mixture, and apples. Spread frosting over dry muffin cups, and place frosting in oven. Chill until set.
