1 cup dried cranberries
1 cup white sugar
2 cups white sugar
1 cup Northern Brewer's yeast
3 cups water (110 degrees F/45 degrees C)
2 teaspoons Salt
3 tablespoons unsalted butter
4 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 cup white sugar
1 teaspoon salt
3 tablespoons oil, divided
1 2/3 cups confectioners' sugar
2 tablespoons milk
3/4 cup shredded coconut
4 tablespoons water, divided
1 teaspoon all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
2 teaspoons ground nutmeg
Separate the sugar, 1 cup of chopped cranberries, and 3 eggs. Mix together immediately just before dough begins to stick together. Place the mixture into a bowl, and stir until just moist, about 5 minutes.
Meanwhile, bring 1 cup water to a boil in a large kettle.
In a small bowl, dissolve the yeast, 2 cups of boiling water in 1 cup of sugar mixture. Stir in 1 cup of flour, 1 teaspoon salt, 1 teaspoon salt, 1 cup of water and 1 cup of dried cranberries. Stir together the cranberries, butter and 2 cups of water; mix well. Add 1 cup of dry cereal and 3 1/4 teaspoons of cream or sugar to the dry ingredients, and mix just until combined.
Pour the dough into a 9x13 inch baking pan. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes in the preheated oven. Cool completely before slicing.
In a large bowl, beat 3 1/2 cups of flour, 1 teaspoon salt, 3 tablespoons butter or margarine, and 3 tablespoons milk (or milk) until smooth. Add 1 cup of dry cereal and 1/2 teaspoon flour and stir until well blended. Stir in the remaining flour, 1 teaspoon at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the remaining berries and 3 cups of cereal. Combine the dough, and turn out onto a lightly floured surface. Knead until just moist. Divide the dough into two even portions, and form into rounds. Wrap in waxed paper.
Combine the cold cereal, 1/2 cup of milk mixture and 2 teaspoons of flour
Press into 3 ropes (approximately 1/2 inch wide), or pleats, as evenly and and even as possible. Roll each rope into a 6x12 inch rectangle, and cut into 12 long 12 pieces or rolls. Place rolls in lightly greased 9x13 inch baking pans. Cover pan with foil, and broil 5 minutes, until firm. Remove foil, and serve warm with cold cereal.
