4 large parmesan cheese slices
2 tablespoons mayonnaise
1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
1 small onion, finely chopped
1 cup diced celery
1 cup pink bell pepper, finely chopped
1 tablespoon salt
1 teaspoon dried basil
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon dried parsley
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
In a medium bowl, combine 4 parmesan cheese slices, mayonnaise, and 1/2 cup of the mozzarella that is in the bowl. Spread 1/2 the ricotta cheese on each slice, lay 2 more slices of mozzarella on top, and lay the remaining parmesan cheese.
Bake in preheated oven at 400 degrees F (200 degrees C) for 30 minutes. Sprinkle remaining mozzarella cheese over all, and return to oven for 5 minutes.
Note: If using half the mozzarella slices, you may want to thin the dipping sauce. If using full slices, you may want to increase the amount of the cream, and especially the 2 tablespoons mayonnaise. Do not let the process turn cold.
