2 1/4 cups fresh strawberries, soaked overnight
1 (3 ounce) package raspberry flavouring
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/2 teaspoon salt
In a large saucepan, bring 3/4 cup water to a boil. Add frozen strawberries and cook until tender, about 15 minutes. Drain, cool and discard any large pieces of frozen meat.
In a small bowl, combine 1/2 cup cold water and 2 tablespoons lemon juice. Sprinkle this over the frozen meat. In another bowl, stir together the strawberry sauce, lemon juice, and mayonnaise.
Pour over chilled meat and simply refrigerate for 2 hours. Stir occasionally. Add salt to taste and reheat before serving.
