1 cup rolled oats
3/4 cup white sugar
3 eggs
2 cups milk
1/2 teaspoon white vinegar
1 (18 ounce) can peach-flavored ice cream
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
In a large bowl, combine oats with 3/4 cup sugar and eggs. In a separate bowl, combine milk, vinegar, and lemon juice; fold into mixture. Pour oats mixture into oats mixture; stir. Spoon into a 9x13 inch baking dish.
Bake in preheated oven for 1 hour, stirring to reduce oven temperature about 5 minutes, until golden brown. Cool slightly before serving.
I made this for Easter and it was very good. I used olive oil instead of shortening, added a dash of hydrochloride, and added a dash of vanilla. It is great for making for snack or treat.
