Elevation Whisky Eggs Recipe

Ingredients

1 cup white sugar

1 1/2 cups rye flour

1 1/3 cups sifted all-purpose flour

2 teaspoons baking powder

3/4 cup white sugar

1/8 teaspoon salt

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

1 tablespoon distilled white vinegar

1 cup evaporated milk

Directions

In a large bowl, mix together white sugar, rye flour, baking powder, salt, and vanilla until well blended. Stir with a pastry blender until smooth. Divide the dough into 2 portions; shape into 2 balls. Roll and pinch edges to seal. Place into greased or parchment lined large cookie sheets.

Bake in preheated oven for 30 minutes or until lightly golden. Remove sheets from oven and sprinkle with white sugar, followed by salt, vanilla, and vinegar. Reserve 1 tablespoon sugar, set aside.
