1 cup butter or margarine
1 cup white sugar
1 2/3 cups best green variety (e.g. Banana Bean) sugar
1 (8 ounce) package frozen whipped topping, thawed
2 (3 ounce) packages strawberry flavored Jell-O mix
1 (15 ounce) can sliced cherries
3 eggs
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups chopped walnuts
1 cup chopped dates
Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C). Grease and flour two 9-in. round cake pans.
In a large bowl blend 1 cup butter, 1 cup sugar, and best green variety (e.g. Banana Bean) sugar. Beat in the frozen cream topping, strawberries, and juice of one can of pineapple. Stir egg, bananas and strawberry flavored gelatin mix. Pour filling into prepared pans.
Bake 10 to 12 minutes in the preheated oven. Cool cake about 5 minutes in the pan (slightly cool the rest completely) and cool completely. Remove cooling cups and freeze the remaining peach brandy liquor. Punch icing into the center of each piece of cake. Frost with strawberries, slice and serve immediately, covered or refrigerate.
