1 (9 inch) unbaked pie crust
1/2 cup chopped pecans
1/4 cup butter, melted
1 (12 fluid ounce) can evaporated milk
1 (12 fluid ounce) can fruit flavored Jell-O mix
1 3/4 cups boiling water
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
1 cup crushed pineapple
1 cup whipped cream
Heat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C). Remove pecans from oven; brush directly into crust. Bake in preheated oven for 10 to 15 minutes, or until pecans are golden brown. Allow to cool completely. In a large bowl, beat the butter and margarine until smooth. Beat in the evaporated milk. Stir in the pineapple juice, fruit gelatin mix, boiling water, and cream. Pour mixture into pie crust.
