1 1/2 cups white sugar
5 tablespoons corn syrup
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups evaporated milk
1 teaspoon lemon zest
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
In a large glass or metal bowl, beat sugar, corn syrup, vanilla extract, and evaporated milk until sugar dissolves. Stir in lemon zest.
Drop candy coating by spoonfuls onto cookie sheets. Bake for 10 minutes in the preheated oven, or until set. Allow cookies to cool on baking sheet for 1 minute before removing to a wire rack to cool completely.
