Tropical Garden Salad Recipe

Ingredients

2 iceberg lettuce leaves - rinsed and dried

1 tablespoon water

2 tablespoons carrot juice

1 tablespoon celery juice

2 tablespoons Italian seasoning

2 tablespoons dry onion flakes

2 tablespoons ground black pepper

2 teaspoons pepperjack cheese

4 tablespoons fresh lemon juice

Directions

Place lettuce, water, carrot, celery and Italian blend in blender or food processor jar with bag, and ice. Freeze until ready to use.

Heat olive oil in large skillet in large skillet. Add lettuce, baking and vegetable juices and carrot juice; heat over high heat for about 1 minute, stirring constantly. Pour over salad; toss with lemon juice.

I followed the recipe exactly making no changes and these were great! I didn't have apple cider on hand so I left out the cider and just added water. I did leave out the cinnamon--I really liked the fruity bite but the creme fraiche added something special. I had a wholesome, straight forward recipe, but it lacked depth. I wanted recipes that were rich with flavor and patient with the preparation. This was perfect. I kept it low on the salt--just a tad bit boss. I included the spreadable Pam spray {used first--used on fruits and vegetables}. It was easily washable--just shake & bake. Although my Reindeers loved this sandwich, my husband only gave it ten stars because he thought the crust was so thin. Perfect simple recipe. Fresh creamy sandwich - dinner is good....
