Creme De Chocolat Recipe

Ingredients

1 cup white sugar

1 cup water

1 egg, beaten

1 1/2 cups chopped almonds

1 cup heavy whipping cream

1 cup coffee-flavored liqueur

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

3 cups brandy

1 cup brandy

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

Sift together the flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Set aside.

In a large bowl, cream together the butter or margarine, sugar, water, egg, almonds and whipping cream until light and fluffy. Mix in the coffee liqueur, vanilla and vanilla. Beat in the butter mixture, depending on the size of the pan.

Pour batter into prepared pan. Bake in the preheated oven for 40 to 50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the pan comes out clean. Cool completely before cutting into squares.
