Coconut Cream Pie III Recipe

Ingredients

1 1/2 cups butter

1/2 cup packed light brown sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder

1 tablespoon all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg

1/2 cup chopped walnuts

2 eggs

1 (9 inch) prepared chocolate frozen dessert topping

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour a 9 inch pie pan.

In a large bowl, cream together butter and brown sugar until smooth. Stir in vanilla extract and flour. Mix thoroughly. Stir in flour, baking powder and baking soda. Mix in salt, cinnamon, nutmeg and walnuts.

Beat eggs into the creamed mixture alternately with the cream of tartar. Mix cake batter until just moistened. Pour batter into prepared pie pan.

Bake in the preheated oven for 60 to 65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the pie comes out clean. Cool completely before cutting into squares.
